Welcome to ATI Typing Fundamental Practice!

You're about to build one of the most valuable skills of your life. Every professional, student, and creator who works with a computer types every single day — and the faster and more accurately you type, the more time you free up to focus on what really matters. Let's get started!

🚀Your Journey Starts Here

Learning to type well is like learning to ride a bike — it feels awkward at first, but once it clicks, it becomes second nature. This course walks you through every key on the keyboard, one step at a time, so you're never overwhelmed.

Here's the secret: Don't rush. Slow and accurate always beats fast and sloppy. Speed comes naturally once your fingers know where to go.

📋How to Use Lessons

Step 1 — Enter your name at the top of the page so the app can cheer you on personally!

Step 2 — Start with the Typing Evaluation to get a baseline score. Don't worry how it goes — this is just your starting point, and you'll be amazed at how much you improve by the end.

Step 3 — Work through the lessons in order, starting with the Home Row Keys. These are the keys your fingers rest on (ASDF and JKL;), and they are the foundation of everything. Master these first!

Step 4 — Type the exercise text exactly as shown. Correctly typed words will highlight in green — mistakes will show in red. Watch your accuracy bar and try to keep it as green as possible.

Step 5 — Click Done! When you finish an exercise, save your score, earn achievements, and see your personalized results.

Step 6 — Repeat each lesson 2 to 3 times before moving on. Repetition builds the muscle memory that makes typing feel automatic.

🏆Tips for Success

  • Sit up straight and position your keyboard so your wrists are level — your body will thank you!
  • Keep your eyes on the screen, not on your fingers. Trust your hands to find the keys.
  • It's okay to make mistakes. Every error is your brain learning what not to do next time.
  • Practice a little every day rather than a lot once a week. Even 15 minutes of daily practice will transform your typing in just a few weeks.
  • Chase your best WPM score — your personal best is displayed on every completed exercise button, so you always know exactly what you're trying to beat.

🌟What You'll Accomplish

By the time you complete all 27 exercises in this course, you will have practiced every key on the keyboard — letters, numbers, symbols, special keys, and the numeric keypad. You'll type faster, make fewer mistakes, and feel confident at any keyboard.

Your fingers are ready. Your keyboard is waiting. Let's go! 💪
